How to make Tomato Strawberry Burrata Salad

Like the best things in life, simplicity is key in making this Salad. Good quality ingredients are all you need and you’ll be diving into one of the tastiest homemade recipes you’ve ever created, we guarantee it!

Like all good Salads, all the flavor comes from the fruit and vegetables. If you are using fresh Tomatoes and Strawberries that are lovely and ripe, all the hard work is already done for you. These ingredients by themselves are simply amazing. Yet, combine them into this wonderful salad and the flavor they are able to create is immense

There is sometimes some misperception about Strawberries and Tomatoes being sweet. However, when eaten raw they are more leaning towards the acidic side than they are the sweet side of the palate. When cooked, absolutely both ingredients become sweeter, however there is no cooking involved in this dish

So, adding a little bit more sweetness to the Tomato Strawberry Burrata Salad is a great way to draw out the sweet flavor profile of the Strawberries and Tomatoes, without having to cook them. We do this with a simple dressing that includes Honey, Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil, Salt, and Pepper

The Honey is really what ties this whole Salad together. Not only will it bring that beautiful sweetness that creates a wonderful familiarity of flavors to the Tomato and Strawberries, but it adds a lovely texture. The Honey adds a lovely thickness to the dressing that gives this salad a sense of luxury and indulgence, all while still being quite healthy for you

Nothing more show stopping on a salad that a beautiful piece of Burrata Cheese placed right on top of it!

Nothing is more show stopping on a Salad than cutting into a big ball of fresh Burrata Mozzarella Cheese

The addition of Burrata to this tasty dish is really what transforms it from simple home cooking to something spectacular. The funny thing is there’s nothing fancy about it. You just place a lovely ball of Burrata Cheese on top of the Salad right before serving! There is always beauty in simplicity, and this dish is a fantastic representation of that

Burrata Cheese is essentially Mozzarella Cheese, but with a much more liquidy, milkier inside than your typical Mozzarella. The inside of the Burrata Cheese is called Stracciatella, and is the cheese we use in this wonderful dish using Heirloom Tomatoes and Stracciatella

When you cut into the Burrata Cheese, the delicious insides of the cheese (the Stracciatella) ooze out all over the beautiful Tomatoes and Strawberries, adding a lovely flavor and texture to the dish. It’s definitely a show stopping moment when cutting into the cheese, which makes this recipe perfect if you’re trying to impress!

Burrata Cheese does get a little bit pricey, however. So, if you’re looking for a more budget-conscious version of this recipe you can absolutely use regular Mozzarella Cheese in the dish. Just break up small chunks of the Mozzarella and serve it on top of the salad after it’s been dressed. The dish will still look amazing, and you’ll be able to save a few bucks while you’re at it
