The Weekly Meal Plan for December 10 is dialing up some of our favorite classic dishes. Those dishes that everyone knows and loves. Which is perfect for this time of year where comforting food that reminds you of home seems fitting

We kick off the week with one of the truly great classic dishes of all time – The Traditional Spaghetti Bolognese. Our takes stay very true to the original, with a few added twists that ramp up the flavor significantly. Pair this dish with a beautiful salad, or even better, some crusty garlic bread and you’ve got yourself a great family meal!

Our second Classic Dish for the week is one of our all-time favorite desserts. We’re talking about Chocolate Brownies. We’ve gone so far as to label our Brownies ‘The Best Brownies Ever’. So, we’ll need you to cook these up and be the judge on whether the claims are true! We think that they are

We have healthy options too!

I guess every meal can’t be decadent, so for our Healthy Dish of the week we’re going to a relatively newer ‘classic’ dish which emerged from my hometown of Australia. That is, of course, Avocado Toast. This is a healthy dish that has overtaken brunch spots and cafes across the world in recent years. Our addition, is a match made in heaven is the pairing of some beautiful, crumbly Feta Cheese. It’s perfect for a healthy meal, either for Lunch or for Dinner

Rounding out the week are our classic Homemade Sloppy Joe’s. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you have an opinion on these we know! They’re a great use for any leftover meat sauce from the Spaghetti Bolognese and taste pretty darn good we think. They’re a perfect and cost-efficient lunch for the kids, or the whole family to be honest!

The classic Spaghetti Bolognese, with a beautifully slow cooked ground meat sauce using Pork and Beef. We add Red Wine and Parmesan Rind to the sauce for added richness. It’s delicious!

Weekly Meal Plan December 10 2023

Full list of Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Spaghetti (approx. 1 packet)
  • 1 lb. Ground Pork (recommend 85/15)
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef (recommend 85/15)
  • 2 – 4 Burger Buns
  • 2 slices of Sourdough Bread
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 large Brown Onion
  • 8 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup of Button Mushrooms
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Lime
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Celery Sticks
  • ½ cup Red Wine
  • 4 tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • 2 cans of Crushed Tomatoes (800 ml / 28 oz.)
  • 5 Sprigs of Thyme
  • 5 Sprigs of Rosemary
  • ½ cup Fresh Parsley or Basil
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 heaped tbsp. Feta Cheese
  • 6 tbsp. Unsalted Butter
  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • 6 tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • ½ tbsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 5 tbsp. All Purpose Flour
  • 6 tbsp. Coco Powder
  • ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
