Hollandaise Sauce in Blender Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 5 oz. / 140g Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  1. Begin by separating the Eggs Yolks from the Egg by cracking open the egg then carefully moving the Yolks from one side of the cracked egg to the other until the whites all fall away. Do this step over the sink!
  2. Place the Butter into a microwave safe container and melt. You can also melt the Butter in a saucepan over medium heat
  3. Place the Egg Yolks, Lemon Juice, and Salt in the blender. Blend for 30 seconds on low
  4. Slowly pour the Melted Butter into the Blender so it fully incorporates with the other ingredients. Be sure to add the Butter while it is still warm
  5. After 30 seconds the Hollandaise Sauce will be ready to eat. Serve in a small bowl or sauce jug

It is always best to eat Hollandaise Sauce as soon as it is cooked. You can refrigerate the Hollandaise Sauce for up to 24 hours. It will solidify in the refrigerator, so simply add it to a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly to bring it back to its velvety consistency
