The convenience of an Air Fryer really can’t be understated. Instant heat generated on your kitchen bench allowing you to fry up your favorite meals in minutes. Small portions of beautifully crispy Spring Rolls filled with a beautiful Chicken and Cabbage mixture. It’s a delicious appetizer which is easy to make, and healthy to eat!
Homemade Spring Rolls are actually a very easy recipe to make yourself. The filling only consists of a few ingredients, all of which are readily available in the supermarket. You’ve probably most likely already got the ingredients in your pantry already!
The delicious filling is cooked up and then wrapped in Wonton wrappers, which are also super easy to find at all grocery stores. Air Fry them for about 7 – 8 minutes and they’re ready to be devoured by the hungry masses!
We love serving these delicious Air Fryer Chicken Spring Rolls with Lettuce and Sweet Chili Sauce
Hands down the best way to enjoy Spring Rolls is by placing them in a large lettuce leaf then dipping them into a delicious Sauce. It’s a classic preparation for Spring Rolls that is very common in many Asian Cuisines, and tastes great
For the Lettuce, we’re fans of using Romaine Lettuce. It carries a lot more flavor than other large leafy types of lettuce such as Iceberg. It holds its shape exceptionally well, which is perfect when rolling up a beautiful Spring Roll. Romaine is also less watery, therefore has more flavor, making it the perfect choice to wrap your Air Fryer Chicken Spring Rolls
There’s not much more that needs to be said about Sweet Chili Sauce. When it comes to dipping sauce, few can compete with this wonderful sauce. We’re not going to advocate for making your own from scratch. This recipe is all about the Spring Rolls. Simply buy some good quality sauce from the grocery store and you’ll be set
The combination of sweetness from the Sauce paired with the Savory Spring Roll filling and fresh Lettuce creates a perfect harmony of flavors in this dish. You also get a lovely variety of textures with every bite, the perfect appetizer really!
If you do not have an Air Fryer you can still make this recipe!
Rest assured if you are wanting to make delicious Spring Rolls but don’t have an Air Fryer we’ve got you covered! In fact, it’s really easy to make! You will simply need to fry your Spring Rolls in hot oil instead of Air Frying. We recommend using Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil for the Oil. Try to avoid Olive Oil as it has a low burn point, so not great for deep frying
Deep frying these Spring Rolls produces a great flavor and texture. Sure, it’s a little less healthy for you than Air Frying, but the taste will more than make up for it! Deep Frying will create a thicker textured Spring Rolls compared to Air Frying. Both are great, so feel free to Deep Fry to your hearts content!
To get the best results when deep frying is to ensure your Oil is hot. Between 350F – 375F is the sweet spot for frying. Any hotter, the Spring Rolls will burn. Any cooler, the Oil will start to absorb into the Spring Rolls, leaving an unpleasant taste and texture
So, when frying, we always recommend using a good quality thermometer to constantly measure the temperature of the Oil. Candy Thermometers are the best for deep frying, so pick one up if you can. Or even better, pick up an Air Fryer so you can follow our Air Frying recipe!

- 2 cups Vegetable Oil (if frying, otherwise you can use your Air Fryer)
- 2 tbsp. Sweet Chili Sauce

Wrapping the Chicken Spring Rolls
- Place a Wonton wrapped on a flat surface and add 2 tbsp. of Chicken mixture to the bottom third of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the top of the mixture and tuck it in to form a tight seal. Add some egg wash to the remaining exposed sides of the wrapper. Fold the two sides over the top of the mixture, then roll the wrapper to form the Spring Rolls. Repeat this process for the remaining mixture
- To cook the Spring Rolls in the Air Fryer, place in the basket and cook at 375F for 8 minutes, turning once. To fry them in Oil, place about 2 cups of Vegetable Oil in a Saucepan and heat until 375F. Fry the Spring Rolls for 3-4 minutes in the Oil until golden-brown
