Weekly Meal Plan November 5, 20230 (0)
The Weekly Meal Plan for November 5 is celebrating the triumphant return of the McRib. Yes, that’s right. The McRib is back at everyone’s favorite fast-food restaurant. We created our own version which, honestly, is so much better!
Technically the McRib is using Leftover ingredients from our Low and Slow Pork Ribs recipe from last week’s meal plan. Our Epic Cook Up is one of our all-time favorites – a Classic Chicken and Leek Pie
There really is no better side dish for a beautiful pie than our Classic Mashed Potatoes which we’ve humbly stated are the best ever! They will also go well as a side to the Homemade McRib as a more than suitable alternative to French fries
You do need to eat healthily this week too of course, so we’ve got you covered. A vibrant and delicious Strawberry Romaine Salad with Green Apple hits the spot. Rounding out the week is a fun dish from Thailand. Our Tom Kha Gai, or Thai Coconut Soup with Shrimp
Happy Cooking!

Epic Cook Up – Chicken and Leek Pie
Nothing says comfort food quite like a good Chicken and Leek Pie. This is a super fun recipe as it creates its own delicious Chicken Stock as you cook it! The Pie is encased in a delicious, crispy Puff Pastry and finished with those sweet Caramelized Onions
Classic Dish – The Best Mashed Potatoes Ever
There is truly no better pairing for a Chicken and Leek Pie than some beautiful, buttery Mashed Potatoes. They soak up all that delicious pie filling perfectly. We stand by these Mashed Potatoes as being the best ever. So give them a try and let us know what you think!
Healthy Meal – Strawberry and Romaine Salad with Green Apple
This salad is so vibrant and refreshing. What’s more, it’s super simple to whip up. The perfect healthy meal for a mid-week dinner to help balance out the heaviness from the weekends Epic Cook Up. Green Apple really adds a lovely depth to this dish
Fun and Interesting Meal – Tom Kha Gai – Thai Coconut Soup
We would love for you to give this dish a try. It’s a dish we discovered at one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles – Night Market. A spicy, sweet Coconut Soup with vegetables and Shrimp. It’s really quite easy to make and tastes amazing
Lunching on Leftovers – Homemade McRib Sandwich
You know what time it is. It’s McRib time! The classic McRib Sandwich is back, and we’ve made our own version using beautiful slow cooked Pork Spareribs. Finished off with a sweet and spicy Kansas Style BBQ Sauce, the Homemade McRib rules!
