However, we were completely transformed the moment that delicious \u2018crack\u2019 sound was heard as we bit into that beautifully crispy Potato! So, while it may seem like a lesser option for making Potatoes, trust us, it\u2019s a great way to make them<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve jammed your Oven with other dishes, where the cooking times and heat are completely different from what is needed to make Potatoes \u2013 the Air Fryer is a fantastic option. It is also a much quicker way to make Crispy Potatoes too. To achieve the same result in the Oven you\u2019re looking at 45minutes to 1 hour easily. These amazingly Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes will be done in under 25 minutes. This is a critical step in the process for cooking the Potatoes. It ensures that the insides of the Potatoes get cooked before they go in the Air Fryer. They then get roasted in the Air Fryer to complete the cook, and to get that lovely, crispy outside that we all want with a great roast Potato<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place the Sliced-up Potato chunks into cold water that has been heavily seasoned with Salt. An aggressively salted water will season the Potatoes, so be very liberal with your Salt! You then heat up the water to a boiling point, then drain them about 3 \u2013 4 minutes after the water begins to boil<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cooking the Potatoes from cold water is a great process as it slowly cooks the Potatoes as the water gradually heats. Placing the Potatoes directly into boiling water isn\u2019t great for parboiling as you\u2019ll cook the outside far quicker than the inside<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final step of the parboiling process is to get a beautiful, gnarly outside on the Potatoes. To do this, once strained, place the Potatoes back in the Pot. Place the lid onto the Pot then shake them around for a few seconds. The shaking process will begin to break apart the outsides of the Potatoes, which leaves a lovely broken, gnarly outside<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will form these odd shapes on the outside of the Potatoes which will crisp up quickly. If needed you can prepare them in several batches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This one should be pretty self-explanatory, but it is a critical step. The Air Fryer needs circulation to appropriately cook your food. If you overload the Air Fryer with Potatoes they will not cook evenly and will very likely not crisp up. Our recommendation is to break up the cooking into two batches, and then combine them all at the end to re-heat once you\u2019re ready to serve. Easy!<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add some good quality Olive Oil to the Potatoes as they go into the Air Fryer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The fat of the Olive Oil is what helps to crisp up the Potatoes. They also add a lovely, richness to the Potatoes which tastes amazing. You can skip this step if you like, however this step will ensure you\u2019ll get beautiful Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes. Also, who would skip a step that adds flavor to a recipe? Not us!<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just drizzle a generous amount of Olive Oil over the Potatoes after you\u2019ve placed them into the Air Fryer basket. There is no need to be too precise, just ensure each Potatoes gets a good amount of Oil on them. The Air Frying process will require you to flip the Potatoes halfway through to ensure both sides get crispy. Peel the skin, wash them, then cut them into bite sized chunks. Place the Potatoes into a Saucepan filled with cold water. Add a generous amount of Salt (about 2 \u2013 3 tbsp.) then turn the heat onto high<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow Water to come to a boil, and boil for 4 minutes. We are not fully cooking the Potatoes, just parboiling. After 4 minutes, strain the Potatoes then place back into the Pot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the lid on the Pot and shake the Potatoes around a little bit. The goal is to break their surface up slightly to create rough edges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the Potatoes in your Air Fryer at 400F. Drizzle Olive Oil over the Potatoes then cook for 15 minutes, turning once and drizzling more Oil over them once turned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the Potatoes have turned golden-brown, remove from the Air Fryer and season well with Salt.
